Curls Twists and Fancy Fun

This style is so simple and yet so cute.

First I made ringlets all over her hair.
Then I made very small twists with her hair and secured them with small bobbie pins.  If your daughters have thin hair then you can cross 2 bobbie pins to make the twists stay.
Next make some more small twists on the other side as shown below.
The fun part of this style is you can cross and mix the twists however you want.

Question #14

M has left a new comment on your post "Make it or Break it Lauren's Latest Style":

im just wondering with this hairstyle how you get the braid to stay still while putting up the ponytail? i've used a hairtie but that was impossible to remove once the ponytail was up and tried bobbypins with a bit more success

For this style I used a clear elastic but the trick is to extend the braid a little bit father than the french braid goes.  On this particular day I just hid the elastic with the hair I pulled up.  If the elastic still shows I have also used cuticle scissors and cut the elastic out or I use a small bobby pin to use the pulled up hair to cover the elastic.

Make it or Break it Lauren Roll to Ponytail

Sorry it has been awhile my daughter has spend most of the summer away from home.
Here is another one of Lauren's hairstyles from the TV show Make it or Break it.

Make a part from ear to ear and just pull the remaining hair into a ponytail out of your way.
Then start with the hair above one ear. I started with her left side.  You are going to roll the hair similar to french braiding but only having 2 strands and adding to 1 side.  I did my best to show it below.
Make the roll go all the way across the front of her head (from ear to ear) secure the end with an elastic.
Then pull all the hair into a high ponytail.

Question #13

A said... on Another Lauren Hairstyle

well, I am in many different sports, all I usually wear is a pony tail but I'm always looking for new ways to wear my hair, and I am in love with make it or break it, I've tried mocking her hair but it just doesn't work out! I am going to try this! does your hair have to be really long though?

No your hair doesn't have to be long to do Lauren's Styles.  In my opinion that is the best thing about her styles is you can do any length of hair because of the tight braids and rolls.

Make it or Break it Lauren Hair Version 2

I apologize for the lack of and quality of these pictures but we did this style while we were camping.
Since it was difficult to tell exactly how Lauren's hair was done during this episode this is our version #2.

Make the center poof as before.  Then french braid along the face line as the post before.  The difference with version 2 is that I continued the french braid back up toward the high ponytail.  If I was to do this again I would french braid a little bit further so you can't see all the elastics.

The french braid is shown below.
Below is the poof and both french braids before I put them into the ponytail.

I don't have anyone who can do videos for me while I style hair. So I have been in contact with the wonderful women from Adopt a Do Hairstyles. She has a video already put together on how to do a french braid.
